Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I choose Send Physical Therapy?

Have you already tried physical therapy and didn't get the results you wanted?

Are you looking for more information and answers to why you are continually having pain or getting injured?

Send PT has a track record for solving the difficult body problems. Send PT is where you will learn how to move well, perform better, and avoid future injuries!

Do you accept my insurance?

While most insurances cover at least a portion of physical therapy, it is always recommended that you check with your specific carrier for details about your plan. Send Physical therapy is out-of-network with all insurance companies. Direct payment is accepted by credit card, check, cash, FSA (flexible spending account) and HSA (health savings account).

An itemized electronic invoice (superbill) can be provided, by request, that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

Ultimately this will allow us to work together in the way we think is most effective and efficient for your specific needs and goals without limitations.

How do I submit a superbill to my insurance?

If you requested a super bill from your therapist, as soon as your session is processed by your physical therapist, your card on file will be charged and you will receive a link to your session superbill via email.

Each insurance company has a slightly different way of submitting claims. Check the back of your insurance card for a claim mailing address or submit via your insurance’s online portal. You can also use an app such as Reimbursify to help you seamlessly submit Out of Network claims.

What is the average length of a typical session?

A typical session lasts about 1 hour. Sessions are always one on one with the physical therapist.

What should I wear to my session?

It is recommended to wear athletic clothing that you will be comfortable performing exercise in.

If you are scheduled for one of our specific movement assessments such as running, cycling, or weightlifting, please wear the clothing, footwear, and any other items you may typically perform these activities with.

What is the value I get for the cost?

Typically, the first few sessions are spent on evaluating and addressing the main cause of your pain. As your pain reduces and you’re able to move better, we will progressively address foundational movement problems and imbalances that will serve as building blocks for returning to your normal activities.

In order to do a thorough job of addressing the root cause of your problem(s), correcting it, and preventing future injuries, it often takes consistent work for more than just a few sessions.

The people who are most successful in their recovery and performance are interested in learning about how their body moves/works, regularly apply techniques they learn during their sessions into their own training, and are consistently involved in their training plan.

The end goal is to help you to gain the knowledge, strength, and confidence in your own body to do things that you thought were impossible for you. The greatest value is the investment in yourself.

Good Faith Estimate:

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who are not using insurance and estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You will receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of your physical therapy services.

  • You will receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing with an estimate of costs before the initial evaluation and after the evaluation for subsequent session costs.

  • If you receive a bill of at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate total, you can dispute the bill.
